Activate your license
Your Polar purchase, the key from your email, and the Macs using it.
Where your license key comes from
After a Polar checkout, your license key and download link are sent to the email you used at checkout. Polar is the merchant of record for Supermac purchases.
Lost the email? Open the customer portal with the same email address and sign in. The portal also lists the Macs currently using the license.
Activate in the app
- Open Supermac. When this Mac has no active license, the activation window opens.
- Paste the full license key from your purchase email into the field.
- Click Activate and keep the Mac online while Supermac verifies the key.
Activation is checked with releaseflow.net. If the check cannot finish, Supermac keeps the activation window open so you can try again.
You can also activate later from Settings → About → License. Paste the key there and click Activate.
One license, three Macs
One license covers up to 3 Macs that you own or control. The license is personal: don't share, resell or publish your key.
Move the license to another Mac
- Open the customer portal and find this license.
- Deactivate the Mac you no longer use to free up its seat.
- Activate Supermac on the new Mac with the same license key.
You can deactivate a Mac at any time. The key stays the same — only the seats change.
If activation fails
Check the key has no missing characters or extra spaces. Make sure the Mac is online, then try again.
Already using all 3 seats? Deactivate an old Mac in the customer portal first.
